More Spot Shennanigans!

Good evening girls!

I wasn't going to blog today but I'm seriously breaking out so while I was in the bath I thought I'd review a couple of the products I was using.

As mentioned in one of my previous posts I get awful spots they're like lumps under the skin, I've been getting them for years and I'm 25 now! I went to the Dr's a couple of months ago and he gave me some tablets and I had a MASSIVE allergic reaction to them. It made my skin itchy and when I scratched it I got big welts (bit raised lumps when you've scratched) not nice! So I'm back to square 1 really and just trying to look after my skin and drink as much water as I can.

Tonight I put on a Deep Cleansing Mud Mask from Superdrug, I can't remember how much it was think it was about 99p.

It has a thick green texture and a nice refreshing smell to it. Here is a scary pic of me wearing the mask so you can see the colour and consistency of it. I probably look a bit odd because I haven't added it to my whole face, I do this because I only feel like I need it on the bad areas and I don't want to dry my cheeks out too much and it also means it will last longer because I'm not using as much!
Lush, not lol! This is a really nice product and has been really good value because it's lasted ages. I do prefer the MUDD masks but this does help when I'm having a skin crisis like today!

Here's an example of the lumps under my skin, I know it's not very pretty I'm sorry!! But I'm just interested to hear if anyone else out there has the same kind of spots because I don't know anyone?

I've spent more time putting pictures up of me with no makeup on that with makeup on haha but I promise some make up one's will be coming, don't want any more horrible pics up now!

The next product I want to mention is these Spot Reducer Gel Patches by Purederm which I picked up in Aldi when I was getting my fruit and veg.

I have one thing to say about these, DO NOT buy them. Seriously, just don't! I got them because I thought they were going to be the same as the one's Montagne Jeunesse used to do called Spot Dots. So I was thinking great, definately going to get some of those. What you do is put them directly on the spot and then go to bed and it does improve the spot a little overnight (well the montagne jeunesse one's do anyway) The problem with these Purederm one's is you put them on and they slide all over and do not stick properly to your skin....complete rubbish! I will use the packet up but I won't be buying them again.

Montagne Jeunesse PLEASE bring back spot dots! Didn't know this till today buy you can buy products from their website - http://www.montagnejeunesse.com/

Hope everyone is having a good week so far.

  3. I know exactly how you feel and have been moaning about the spots around my chin forever! It sucks cos I'm 24 and never had a single spot all through my teens but all of a sudden I cant get rid of them

I've tried pretty much every single skincare range and face mask imaginable (inc dermalogica and Dr Murad) but the best is definitely Johnsons clean and clear advantage spot control. When I saw the ads on TV I figured they were exaggerating but it was worth a try. Best. Spot. Products. Ever :)

I dont use the little spot gel tube cos I find it just dries out the spot and the area around it (no matter how little I apply!) but the cleanser and moisturiser are beyond awesome

I still get the odd breakout, esp when I decide to try another brand, but so far this has worked wonders. Feel free to mention any miracle spot products you discover though!!
